Jan Hajic: Director of Institute of Formal and Applied Linguistics, School of Computer Science, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University in Prague. Research interests: morphology and tagging of inflective languages, machine translation, creating linguistic resources, spoken language understanding.

Nancy Ide: Professor and Chair at Department of Computer Science, Vassar College.

Dan Jurafsky: Associate Professor of Linguistics, Associate Professor by Courtesy of Computer Science, Stanford University. The co-author (with James H. Martin) of the book titled Speech and Language Processing: An Introduction to Natural Language Processing, Speech Recognition, and Computational Linguistics.

Kimmo Koskenniemi: Professor of Computational Linguistics at the University of Helsinki. Research interests are within computational morphology and surface syntactic parsing, and finite-state two-level morphology.

James Pustejovsky: Professor of Computer Science at Department of Computer Science, Brandeis University. Research interests: computational linguistics and semantics, lexical semantics, generative lexicon. 

Hinrich Schütze: Chair of Theoretical Computational Linguistics, Institute for Natural Language Processing, University of Stuttgart, Germany. His bestseller is Manning and Schütze, Foundations of Statistical Natural Language Processing (MIT Press, 1999).

Hans Uszkoreit: Professor of Computational Linguistics at the Dept. of Computational Linguistics and Phonetics of Saarland University at Saarbrücken. Scientific Director at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) and Head of DFKI Language Technology Lab.

Yorick Wilks: Member of the Natural Language Processing Research Group in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Sheffield.Research interests: computational pragmatics, lexicon research, information extraction.
